This is a short and relaxed course designed to enable learners
to reinforce and develop their knowledge of French and their ability to make
descriptions, give opinions and deal with minor complications in a variety of
everyday situations. The course for students who have attended an Improvers'
course at the College and/or whose level of understanding is sufficient in
order to be able to get to grips with everyday communication if the standard
input is clear and delivered slowly. You will learn how
to describe someone's physical appearance, including clothes; how to describe
someone's personality; how to express opinions and ideas when taking part in
discussions; how to express a need; how to describe recent events and future
plans and projects. The course will reinforce
your speaking skills, develop your writing skills, teach some further rules of
grammar and pronunciation, relevant vocabulary, verbs and tenses and involve
the use of questions and answers.
